Congress recently passed the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2002 - a sweeping retirement reform package that will likely be signed into law by the President. This bill has close to 100 provisions that will impact workplace benefit plans. This will include an increase in catch-up contributions, changing the RMD age to 73 and meaningful improvements to 401k plans.
This is big news. We're updating 2023 changes in our clients' financial plans, and intend to take advantage of this new legislation.
