War In The Middle East
Iran and Israel Trade Blows

The conflict between Iran and Israel over nuclear weapons has reached explosive levels. The countries have been trading airstrikes since June 13, and now the United States has joined the fray.
While President Trump initially said the US would not get involved, he recently announced that the US completed three successful airstrikes on nuclear facilities in Iran. This raises concerns about the potential for a broader war in the region. Since the conflict began, the price of oil reacted sharply, but activity in most other markets had remained muted. Investors wait with bated breath for further developments.
A Note From COO Michael Bennicelli

Another week, another major headline as the conflict between Israel and Iran continues to escalate. When the bombing began on Friday, June 13, markets reacted with a brief and minor selloff that lasted... one whole day. By Monday, across the globe, we were back to our regularly scheduled programming. You may remember a time when headlines like that would have a meaningful impact on investor psyche. Today, however, it seems the entire world’s investment strategy is to buy the dip ad infinitum, because 1) doing so has worked so well for so long, and 2) what other behavior would one expect from an investing public that hasn’t experienced a real recession in over 15 years? Investing biases are informed and reinforced by experiences, which explains why investors continue to do what got them here. Lucky for us, we can continue to rely on our rules-based strategy to align with market trends, rather than guessing what might happen. Come talk to us to learn more.
