War With Iran
Rising Oil Prices Bring Market Volatility
The US war with Iran has entered its second week, and President Trump has warned that the fighting is only beginning. While markets were initially slow to react to the conflict, oil prices have been steadily rising as the days wear on; crude oil prices passed $100 a barrel for the first time since 2022. With the Straight of Hormuz effectively closed, oil reserves are filling up and companies are being forced to cut production. About 20% of the world’s oil production is exported through the Straight (CNBC).
The Dow tumbled 800 points March 9th when the market opened, likely as a result of rising oil prices and the threat of a longer-than-anticipated war (Yahoo Finance). Neither the US nor Iran seems to be backing down and investors are realizing they may have to hunker down and ride it out.
But with each new headline that comes out, the markets jump and dip. That’s why at Reveille we use on our Rules Based Investment Discipline to guide us in times of increased volatility. Instead of watching the headlines, we can trust our process to help us reduce risk and avoid making emotional decisions. Learn more about RBID here.

A Note About Tax Season From Joe Perdue
While we wait for our final tax documents to be delivered so that we can file our 2025 return by April 15, we should acknowledge that most effective tax strategies happen long before tax season begins. Shifting from a reactive "filing" mindset to a proactive "planning" approach allows for optimizations that simply aren't possible once the calendar year closes. By evaluating items like Roth conversions, tax-loss harvesting, or strategic charitable giving now, you can influence your final numbers rather than just reporting them. At Reveille Wealth Management, we believe tax efficiency is a year-round discipline that directly impacts your long-term net return. Our goal is to ensure your investment strategy and tax liability are working in harmony, not in isolation. We encourage you to reach out this month to begin mapping out your 2026 tax-saving opportunities.
