AI Deal Breakdown
Oracle and Blue Owl Data Center Split Brings AI Valuations Into The Spotlight

The rose-colored glasses may finally be coming off for the AI industry. In 2025, AI-related companies have dominated the stock market and helped push indices to new highs. The S&P 500, for example, has broken closing records multiple times this year due to being buoyed by AI-related stocks. Their dominance, however, is tenuous.
In mid-December, investors were spooked by the news that Blue Owl would not be funding Oracle’s multi-billion dollar data center in Michigan. Blue Owl has been a major player in financing data centers around the United States, and this unexpected turn resurfaced concerns that AI investment may be on unstable ground. Following the news, Oracle’s stock fell by more than 5% (Yahoo Finance, Financial Times). This latest drop means Oracle is now trading over 40% below its September high.
At Reveille, we have been discussing the danger of overvalued AI stocks and how they could affect investors in our monthly update videos. And in our newest episode for our podcast, Bugle Notes, we take a deep dive into whether or not we could be in the biggest bubble of our lifetime. Watch now on our channel, or email us directly with any questions to info@reveillewealth.com.
